Father (or Pastor) David is a native of Western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Thiel College in northwestern PA and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA. In 2023 he celebrated the 40th anniversary of his ordination. He is delighted to be in ministry together with the family at St. Marks - celebrating and sharing God’s love in Christ for all people. No exceptions!

The Reverend Susan York is a graduate of Seabury Western Theological Seminary and has been ordained for over 19 years. She has served for the past eight years as Associate Rector for Pastoral Care at St. Mark’s. Prior to this role, she served as Director of Pastoral Care at Spectrum Health, Assistant Rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Vicar of Holy Spirit Church in Belmont, Michigan.

The Reverend Jan Gockerman has been a member of St. Mark's for almost 40 years and was ordained to the diaconate in 2018. As a deacon, her call is to bring the needs of the world to the congregation and lead the church members out into the world to care for those in need.

Gregory Crowell serves as Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and as University Organist and Senior Affiliate Professor of Music at Grand Valley State University. Dr. Crowell holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and the University of Cincinnati, and has studied at the North German Organ Academy. 

Jeff Brown manages Grand Rapids Episcopal Youth (G.R.E.Y.), a joint youth ministry between St. Mark's and St. Andrew's Episcopal Churches for youth from 6th to 12th grades.  

Pam Stevenson joined our Ministry Support Team in 2003 and is our Financial Manager.  Pam is responsible for overseeing the churches financial matters as well as handling other church related business.  

Kate serves as our front desk welcome party. Don't hesitate to reach out to her! Her responsibilities at St. Mark's include the front office, church calendar, e-news, and the Sunday Service bulletin.  

Mike is an active St. Mark's parishioner, former member of the Vestry and Property Committee and long-time handyman for the church. In his staff role, he oversees all of St. Mark's events and operations, coordinates work to the facilities and develops the staff sextons and volunteer capacity.
