Christian Formation - Grand Rapids Episcopal Youth
Grand Rapids Episcopal Youth: G.R.E.Y
G.R.E.Y. is a joint youth program between St. Mark’s and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Churches for 6th-12th grade youth, which also welcomes youth from other Episcopal churches in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We strive to connect the youth of our diocese to each other, our communities, and Christ through weekly formation, monthly social events and outreach activities. We serve breakfast monthly to our neighbors at the St. Mark’s Breakfast Cafe, volunteer at Soup’s on For All, and Family Promise, participate in Access of West Michigan’s Walk for Good Food, go to movies, attend the Episcopal Youth Event (EYE), and visit fun places like Cedar Point and Craig’s Cruisers.
Here's what's ahead:
We are in the midst of planning our summer programming and hope to have a portion of it safely in-person. Reach out to our Director of Youth Ministries, Jeff Brown, at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the G.R.E.Y. email list to ensure to get the latest updates.
Break Time, Game Time
Each Monday, we hold a virtual game night-Break Time, Game Time-from 7-8 p.m. (This is on hiatus.)
Wednesday Night Virtual Youth Group
Virtual Youth Group is held on Wednesdays via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. and concludes no later than 8:30. It's open to middle and high schoolers alike and participants can join in and duck out whenever they need to during that time. There's time for prayer, devotions, formation, games, and sharing. We conclude each week with Compline. See you then and invite a friend! (This is on hiatus for the summer.)
For the link to these Zoom meetups, reach out to Jeff Brown, Director of Youth Ministries at email@example.com. Middle and high school students are invited to both events.
